GABORONE DHMT RESUMES MALL CAMPAIGNS TO ENCOURAGE COVID-19 BOOSTER-SHOT UP-TAKE

The Greater Gaborone District Health Management Team has urged eligible members of the public to visit vaccination sites to get COVID19 booster doses to increase the effectiveness of the vaccines in their bodies. Family Physician in the Greater Gaborone DHMT, Dr. Thato Paulus-Mokgachane told Yarona FM news yesterday that a few people have come forth to get booster shots since another round of the Gaborone mall’s outreach programme started last week. He noted that while they are doing well in the first and second dose vaccinations, their records show that the number of those who got their booster shots are far less than what is expected.The Greater Gaborone DHMT is currently undertaking mall vaccination outreach programmes at main mall, bus rank, Kwena Spar, Mogoditshane Trans, Metsimotlhabe Choppies, Metsimotlhabe Saverite and Ramotswa bus rank among others.
