BREAKING NEWS: POLICE CONFISCATE FAKE ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO WORTH MILLIONS

A joint law enforcement operation between the Police and the Directorate of Intelligence and Security Services, DIS and the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime has led to the confiscation of counterfeit alcohol, non alcoholic beverages and loose tobacco, known locally as leblara worth over 5 million pula in Gaborone.
DCEC public relations officer Lentswe Motshoganetsi says the operation shut down a warehouse responsible for distributing the products locally and internationally.
The law enforcement agencies have been working together recently to try and root out corruption in companies that operate illegally or fraudulently.
