Role Overview & Responsibilities

The Copper Beech is a busy family run pub and has been serving great quality home cooked food all day every day for 17 years.

A rare opportunity has arisen to recruit a general manager with a passion for all things hospitality!

The general manager will lead a team of 30 brilliant staff and motivate to maintain and exceed our excellent customer service and quality standards. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the bar and restaurant. You will get a real sense of satisfaction when exceeding customer expectations and be unflappable under pressure. We are looking for a leader who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, lead by example to deliver results.

To be successful in this role you will need great communication and organisational skills, experience in both bar service and restaurant service. You will know how to oversee the restaurant and balance seating capacity and be up to speed with licensing laws and health and safety legislation. You will have the ability to constantly assess the fine balance of rostering to minimise costs without compromising on outstanding customer service, having the flexibility and commitment to place yourself on to the busiest shifts, when you are needed the most.

Responsibilities:

Deliver superior service and maximise customer satisfaction

Staff Training, recruitment and retention

Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity

Stock ordering

Cash reconciliation

Manage social media through face book and instagram

Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints

Ensure compliance to licensing laws, health and safety laws and food hygiene standards.

Implement policies and protocols that will maintain bar and restaurant operations

Promote the brand by recommending ways to reach a broader audience

Requirements and Skills

Proven work experience as a restaurant manager or hospitality manager

Proven customer service experience and a manager

Acute financial management skills

Extensive food and beverage knowledge

Personal Licence (or willingness to attain)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £25,000.00 per year
