Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job Title - Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Rate - £35,000 - £37,500
Shift - 3 x 12 hour day shifts per week (Monday to Friday for the first 6 months in order to receive training)

Synergi are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading printing companies based in Bungay, on a permanent days shift pattern. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established company, who have been running for over 200 years. This is a fantastic time to join a business who are investing heavily back into the engineering team & machinery within the site.

Responsibilities Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

This role of the mechanical maintenance engineer will require someone with extensive mechanical knowledge to provide reactive & planned maintenance on high-speed production lines to ensure minimum downtime. Previous experience in a fast-paced environment would be an advantage.

Job duties of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
Carrying out Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance on site to reduce machine
downtimes.
Sharing of Technical Skills & Knowledge to improve overall team performance
Identify & Present improvements to enhance site efficiency & reliability
Read mechanical drawings and schematics to fix the fault or improve the problem.
Experience with printing presses, cylinders & bearings is hugely advantageous.

Please note you must have served an NVQ engineering apprenticeship (Level 3). A HNC/HND would be beneficial but not essential.
