Data Centre Engineer

I have a large and sophisticated IT site that has some very exciting work for you. Come and work with us on a huge Defence Site as our Data Centre Engineer in a multifaceted role.

This site uses pioneering technologies and has genuine career opportunities.

Based on site 4 days in Salisbury with one day working from home. Must be eligible for DV Clearance.

What you'll be doing:

• Work with Data Centre team, ensuring the data centre is available and secure
• Assist with maintenance and operation of the physical compute infrastructure, ancillary systems and physical environment
• Racking, installation and monitoring of existing and new Data Centre systems and environments
• Engage with Projects and Demand Service, assisting in their delivery
• Cover staff absence potentially at our sister sites
• Ensure Organisational change is implemented and followed
• All works to conform and satisfy CIDA Configuration Management
• Asset management and tracking
• Willing to perform out of hours call out to the Data Centre on a rostered basis and flexible working out of hours when required to assist with changes and break fixes
• Successful Candidate will be required to gain DV Clearance for the role

What you’ll bring:

• Full UK Driving License
• Experience in an infrastructure environment (Servers or Network etc.,)
• Previous exposure to an Enterprise level hosting environment
• Eligible for DV Security Clearance

It would be great if you had:

• Product experience of DELL and HP Servers
• DV Clearance
