Counsellor (Accredited)

Accredited Counsellors NHS Tameside and Glossop Talking Therapies are looking to recruit an experienced Counsellor to join their innovative service which prides itself on staff wellbeing and development.

Service/Ward/Department Summary: NHS T&G Talking therapies work with clients aged 16 + to provide a range of evidenced based therapies for those requiring a psychological intervention between steps 2 and 3 of the Stepped Care model. The Team employs a range of qualified health professionals in the following disciplines; Clinical Psychology, IPT, CBT, PWP, Counselling and Nursing.

The service operates within an agile working environment, therefore the successful candidate must be confident in delivering counselling and although will be supported within the team, have the ability and confidence to work autonomously.

The service sits within Pennine Care NHS Trust who provide mental health, learning disability and autism services to people across Greater Manchester.

NHS Tameside & Glossop Talking Therapies Are based in the centre of Ashton under Lyne which has excellent links to road, rail and tram networks.
