JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Care Worker

REPORTING TO: Care Coordinator, Registered Manager

JOB PURPOSE: To work as a member of a team in the provision of care and assistance to young people, adults and the elderly to enable them to remain in their own home and lead as independent a lifestyle as possible. Care duties will include assisting service users with the following activities: personal care, healthcare, dietary care, domestic/household services and personal services. In so doing the carer will at all times observe and respect the service user’s dignity, privacy and independence as far as practical and have a passion for providing high quality care.

SKILLS / ABILITIES

Required:

· Proven ability to work on own initiative and work as part of a team

· A commitment to a service which provides support to vulnerable individuals, and which is respectful and according to the individuals’ wishes

· Good communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to communicate effectively with Service Users, colleagues, family members, Managers and other persons with a legitimate interest in the project

· Commitment to training and development

Desired:

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 40 per week

Salary: From £11.00 per hour
