Role Overview & Responsibilities

Bakery Market stall assistant - weekends only

Kestrel Bakehouse is an artisan micro bakery supplying customers with Babkas&Bourekas just like the traditional markets of Jerusalem. We have been trading at multiple locations in London including south kensington, Wimbledon, Balham and Pimlico farmers market and have built up a loyal customer base. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual to run our Saturday stalls on a weekly basis. You’ll have an engaging personality, be organised, with a positive sales attitude and want to help our loyal customers whilst we expand onto our new locations.

We are looking for 1-2 stall assistants for both Balham and Wimbledon locations and are paying £10 an hour. As a bonus you will also recieve a 10% sales bonus for all sales above £500.

You should be able to commit to working on saturdays from 08:30 - 13:30

Key daily responsibilities:

· Setting up & closing the stall, including setting up gazebo and tables.

· Ensuring a visually appealing presentation of babkas&bourekas.

· Taking card payments via sumup.

· Selling with a smile :) Up-selling, cross-selling and pro-actively engaging with customers.

· sampling all the babkas&bourekas (not in one go) is a must :) so you can confidently recconmend our products to customers, you need to know what you are talking about. customers will often ask you what your favorourite is!

Candidate requirements:

· Commitment to working your shift every week and notifying in advance if you cant.

· A calm, friendly chatty nature when interacting with customers and being able to maintain this also during busy periods.

· Physically able to to erect a gazebo.

· stamina to work outdoors - in ALL weathers.

· Fluent in written and spoken English.

· Punctual, reliable and well organised. Takes pride in having a clean & safe working environment.

· Well presented.

· A minimum of one year’s sales experience for an artisan food market stall or independent food business is preffered.

What we provide:

You will start on £10 per hour.

10% sales commision on all sales above £500
