Role Overview & Responsibilities

PERTH

Are you interested in working for an award winning social care charity?

Let us introduce you to Carol:

Carol loves being outdoors and going for walks, especially on those rare sunny days in Scotland and particularly enjoys walks in wooded areas. Carol also loves going out in her car, which her staff team drive as she is unable to. When drivers are not on shift Carol also enjoys going on the bus and train to ensure she is getting out and about each day. She loves to bounce on her small trampoline in her home but also enjoys going out to sessions on full sized trampolines at the local leisure centre. She loves listening to music and going away on short holidays one to two times per year.

Carol requires support on a 24 /7 and unfortunately is unable to enjoy many things that people take for granted but does enjoy the company and support that her team give her on a daily basis.

Carol needs another full time member of the team following the impending retirement of a long standing member of the team.

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within ENABLE Scotland by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

ENABLE Scotland creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me

The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. A career with ENABLE Scotland is as rewarding as it is diverse, Personal Assistants at theirbest have the potential to truly bring out thebest in the people we support.
