Warehouse Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We now have a new position for a Warehouse Assistant to work within our busy Warehouse, based at Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds.

You will Assist the Warehouse Controller with managing stock in and out of the warehouse, Ensuring all products are allocated correctly on the operations system. The role will also facilitate equipment requests, purchase ordering, stock counts, and maintaining order in the stores.

What you will do

• Processing goods in & goods out
• Managing the control of all stock
• Recording deliveries and raising purchase orders on the operations systems
• Contacting suppliers to raise enquires on availability of stock and price
• Managing the levels of stocks in vans
• Making infrequent deliveries of product to sites
• Ladder inspections – (training will be provided)
• Undertaking stock counts and updating the operations systems
• Assisting the Warehouse Controller with Fleet administration as required
• Ad hoc duties as required

You will have

• Excellent communication skills
• Full UK Driving licence
• Experience of working in a warehouse environment (is desirable but not essential)
