Production Assistant
Contract Type:Permanent Salaried Position. Mon-Fri. Part-time at 15-18 hours/week starting at £10.60 (£22,048/a pro-rata) during probation, then rising to £10.90 (£22,672/a pro-rata) after probation. Part time and family friendly hours are available.
Reports to: Production Manager
Based at: SmithTaylor, Enterprise Centre, Kempton Road, Pershore, WR10 2TA
Summary:
Smith Taylor is a product manufacturer specialising in gift and homewares, including coasters, placemats and clocks. We provide products to artists, photographers and designers to sell their work in a different format to traditional print. We’re looking for someone who is conscientious, has an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team. We would like to welcome someone who feels they are suited to the fast-paced and energetic atmosphere.
Main job requirements:

• Production processes including cutting, sanding, and gluing
• Printing processes including laminating and trimming
• Product assembly e.g. clocks
• Packing orders ready for shipping
• Cleaning workspaces

Key Qualities:

• Experience with CNC Machinery and manufacturing is preferred but not essential.
• Attention to detail and care for the work being undertaken at all times
• Eager to learn new processes
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Adaptable to different aspects of the manufacturing process
