Insurance and Litigation Officer
Grade W9 £32,994 per annum, rising to £33,831 per annum and again to £34,656 per annum in two annual increments.

Wiltshire Police currently have an exciting opportunity working full-time (37 hours per week) as an experienced Insurance and Litigation Manager within the Finance team based at Police Headquarters, Devizes.

The Insurance and Litigation function is part of the Finance Department. This role requires the ability to facilitate, develop and coordinate Insurance and Litigation specifications and requirements of the Force, by working closely with various stakeholders and experts both internally and externally to ensure any risk to the Force is assessed, analysed and mitigated. Specific focus on the financial monitoring of Insurance and Litigation would be an expectation.

The role will provide expert advice on Insurance and Litigation matters internally within the Force and wider stakeholders externally. The role will proactively manage the Force’s portfolio supporting financial decision makers in ensuring that appropriate risk transfer options are taken based on the provision of Best Value in accordance with organisational needs.

Successful applicants will need to demonstrate that they have experience in working in an Insurance and Litigation environment or similar, understand risk analysis, have good communication skills, be able to work as part of a team and be able to deliver results to tight deadlines

The post will be working a 37 hour week .
