Role Overview & Responsibilities

Whittaker Engineering (Stonehaven) Ltd have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. We cover a wide variety of work including offshore oil and gas, heat exchangers and renewables.

The candidate must have an HNC, BSc, BEng or Equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, a working knowledge of QA Systems, CAD packages and Finite Element Analysis Software (although not essential).

Duties include: carrying out engineering activities to ensure timely delivery of manufacturing drawings to the workshop and clients; interpreting client specifications and requirements, carrying out engineering calculations, working to codes where appropriate, preparation of documentation including reports and specifications, researching and sharing new ideas with other engineers and maintaining the reputation of the company through all forms of contact with third parties through engineering activities.
