Lunch Assistant - Term time

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job title: Lunchtime Assistant

Reporting to: Nursery School Manager

Responsibilities/Duties:

Responsible for setting up the Caterpillars / Butterflies area ready for the children’s lunches.

Responsible for helping children wash hands and sit down for lunch.

Responsible for supervising the children whilst they have their packed lunches, ensuring that any medical preferences/allergies are adhered to.

Responsible for writing up any relevant information for parents concerning lunch that day.

Responsible for clearing up and cleaning tables when all the children have finished their lunches and leaving area ready for Nursery School activities.

Advise the Nursery School Manager of any concerns e.g. children, parents or the safety of equipment preserving confidentiality as necessary.

To treat sensitively any confidential information regarding the children, their families or other staff which is learnt as part of the job.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £9.50-£10.50 per hour
