Duty Manager

Role Overview & Responsibilities

The White Lodge Hotel Filey, is looking for a Duty Manager to join its small Management team. This role will work closely with the General Manager and other Managers with-in the business.

We are currently looking for the right candidate to fill the position of duty manager. The role will primarily work in co-operation with the General Manager serving as a key point of contact for our guests throughout their stay or visit to The White Lodge.

The ideal candidate will be confident, courteous and professional, they will provide an efficient and flexible service at all times. They will be personable, with an emphasis on creating memorable and unique experiences for our guests.

Roles and Responsibilities include;

• Assist the Managers in taking care of all guests on arrival & coordinate with all concerned departments to fulfil guest needs and requests throughout their visit.
• Fulfil operational duties in the restaurant and bar when required.
• A full understanding and ability to use (after a learning period) the point of sale software, bedroom management, check-in software.
• Support and co-ordinate with other departments such as Front Desk and Housekeeping where required.
• Carry out check-in or check-outs in efficient manner, offering luggage assistance and transportation where needed. Wish a fond farewell to the guest at the time of departure.
• Takes notes of all information, updates and instruction and give a proper handover before signing off from the shifts.
• Opens or closes the shifts where required.
• Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned out of the list.
• Work closely with The General Manager and help them with upcoming events and growing the business.

Experience Required

· 1+ years at a managerial level in the hospitality industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,500.00-£28,000.00 per year
