Role Overview & Responsibilities

Warings Furniture is a family-run business we design, manufacture, and deliver exceptionally high-quality furniture to hospitality clients both Nationally and Internationally. We are recruiting for an Assistant to join our busy Transport team, we are keen to meet both experienced candidates as well as trainees as this is a great opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in logistics.

LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT

We are looking for a reliable, proactive individual with a “can do” attitude who has the potential and willingness to learn through practical experience as full training will be provided.

You will assist the Logistics team with the following duties:

• Managing delivery and collection schedules
• Ensuring all delivery paperwork is in order and correct (e.g. delivery notes)
• Booking in deliveries and collections with customers and on site representatives
• Liaison with sales team, delivery drivers, site representatives
• Organising Risk Assessments statements for site work
• Organising and arranging vehicle checks and update maintenance records
• Fleet management (fleet insurance, fleet recovery, vehicle servicing, MOTs)
• Managing pool car bookings
• Managing congestion charges/tolls etc. as required
• Booking overnight accommodation for drivers
• Organising quotes from 3rd parties, subcontractors
• Managing the Fuel Card account.

Salary: £21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
