We have a fantastic opportunity at our newly refurbished office in Lichfield for a high performing, motivated, hands-on Transport Operations Manager.

As the Transport Operations Manager you will be responsible and accountable for: -

· A 5-person strong traffic team.

· 34 Drivers to service our 24-hour operation, 0600 Monday to 1200 Saturday.

· A fleet of 28 Vehicles.

· Our OTIF (On Time In Full) metric, ensuring it is achieved both for our Palletways and National fleet.

· Correct resourcing levels to deliver OTIF, fulfil collections and trunk to hubs efficiently during the night operation.

· Managing all costs to ensure consistent strong P&L results.

To be successful in this role you’ll have been a transport manager for at least a year, with a proven track record, experienced in planning, very strong people management and development skills and be able to build strong relationships with other departments. A holder of the CPC qualification is essential along with hands on experience in a fast-moving pallet environment.

We are seeking someone able to make decisions under pressure, and to a tight timescale. Along with a flexible and adaptable approach to working to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.
