Retrievals Assistants (3x roles available)

We are looking for up to 3 Retrievals Assistants to join our VARI, NAL and Archives Department.

The post holders will support the delivery of public services in the National Art Library and the Prints and Drawings Study Room.

They will principally work behind the scenes of the study facilities and will play an essential part in the delivery of the Department’s services to the public; responding to enquiries, retrieving material, preserving and re-storing library items and providing invigilation services as required in the National Art Library.

They will also undertake clerical and administrative tasks to support the delivery of services.

The following roles are available and there can be flexibility regarding the working hours and work pattern:

Role 1: 2 days a week (14.5 hours) Monday and Wednesday, Contract until 31 December 2023.

Role 2: 3 days a week (21.5 hours), Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Contract until 8 January 2025.

Role 3: 2 days a week (14.5 hours), Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, Permanent.
