Financial Accountant

Salary range: £50,000 - £60,000 / annum

Key functions of the role:

• Reporting to our Financial Controller, you will support on, and own key processes within our growing Finance team

• Assisting with day-to-day banking tasks, such as paying invoices and matching receipts to sales invoices on our sales platform to mark as received

• Assisting in the production of the monthly management accounts, including the accruals and prepayment schedules

• Reconciliation of bank statements

• Assisting with the monthly payroll run process and paying out monthly payroll

• Offering suggestions to management to improve controls and processes in place

• Updates to aged receivable listing and monthly reconciliation of aged receivables report (payables is maintained within Xero)

• Assist with review of monthly expense items and classification of individual expense ledger items

• Assisting our Financial Controller with audit of the financial statements

Requirements:

• ACA or ACCA recently qualified (We’re also happy to hear from you if you’re part-qualified, but very close to being qualified)

• An ambition to forge a career in the VC-backed startup world

• You've worked with SME clients previously

• Exceptional attention to detail and an analytical mind

• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• A proactive nature, keen to support on any task that helps the business

• Experience with Xero

Nice to Haves:

• If you've worked for another VC-backed SaaS startup, it would certainly help

• Experience with Mosaic would be a big plus!
