Role Overview & Responsibilities
Up and Away Aviation Services provide expert cleaning services throughout the UK, helping keep our commercial client’s aircraft and brand reputation spotless across a 24/7 operation.
Working with a unique VIP airline, aircraft cleaners must be proactive and adaptable and strive to ensure the highest levels of cleaning standards are consistently met. You should be able to work with a team carrying out a variety of cleaning tasks.
We have full-time permanent positions available on night shifts; on a sought after 4 On 4 Off basis, working shifts from 19:00 - 07:00. Flexibility to work various shifts is advantageous.
NB: Pay rate advertised includes night allowance
Key Responsibilities
- To contribute to a culture of engagement, involvement and continuous improvement within the cleaning team
- To work within a team carrying out aircraft interior cleans and deep cleans where required.
- Removing rubbish from the aircraft and making sure that it is properly disposed
- Restocking of cleaning vehicles and equipment
- Clean interior areas of aircraft cabin including vacuuming carpets, wipe down equipment and surfaces
- Clean lavatories, wash basins, surfaces, mirrors and replenish supplies in line with customer requirements
- Clean and sanitise galleys, including mopping floors
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times, especially when using equipment and PPE
- Other duties as assigned
Key Requirements
- Ability to work under pressure to schedules and adapt quickly to suit customer needs
- A full manual driving licence recognised by the UK is required
- High attention to detail to take pride in cleaning standards
- Previous cleaning experience would be highly beneficial
- Valid Passport/ID and right to work in the UK
- Proof of Address and National Insurance Number
- 5 years' check-able work history
- Receipt of a satisfactory standard disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service
- Must be willing to undergo relevant training as required
- Zero tolerance approach to health & safety non-compliance.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strict confidentiality regarding VIP aircraft
