Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated research assistant with previous laboratory experience, ideally in immunology or vaccinology. This post is funded through the sponsorship of a new study (Rapid Protect) assessing Covid vaccines and mAbs in immune suppressed patients with laboratory analysis led by Katie Ewer and E Barnes. The successful candidate will assess cellular and humoral responses in human studies in COVID19. This job is a fantastic opportunity to join an outstanding team working in clinically important areas of vaccinology at the Oxford University Hospitals in Oxford.
You should have a degree in biomedical sciences and evidence of previous laboratory experience. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential in order to make a strong contribution to the project. The post is fixed term for 12 months in the first instance but there may be a possibility to extend this (depending on future funding applications that are in process). Applicants should be available to start this post by April 2023 or before.
Applications for this vacancy are to be made online. You will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application, and informal discussions with the PIs (E Barnes and Katie Ewer) ahead of interview are welcomed.
Only applications received before 12.00 midday on Monday 20 February 2022 will be considered.
