Band 6 Midwife

UHB is looking for an experienced B6 midwife to join their AN Clinic core team.

This is an exciting time to join AN services as recent transformation work has been undertaken aiming to provide high quality, safe and effective care to all women booking for maternity care within UHB. Our goal is to provide a caring environment in which women receive AN care, whilst ensuring this care provides the best outcome possible for mothers, babies and their families.

There is an AN clinic on all three sites and women are triaged into the service according to clinical needs.

The midwifery team play a crucial role in ensuring women are triaged correctly from the outset of their pregnancy and support the consultant led care pathway by commencing women on appropriate pathways.

The matron for this service is committed to ensuring women feel cared for on their AN journey and that any visits to the hospital environment are both essential and effective. Hospital and community teams work closely together with the aim of keeping women at the centre of care delivery pathways.

The successful candidate will join a team of midwives at UHB who strive to give high quality, effective and efficient AN care giving the best outcomes for mothers, babies and their families.

There has been a significant emphasis on delivery AN care within UHB to meet all the recent recommendations from the national Ockenden report, whilst ensuring consideration is given to the local population we serve.
