Role Overview & Responsibilities

Monday - Friday / 13:00 - 21:00

Key responsibilities:

· Administrator of our team of drivers and distribution staff.

· Monitoring time sheets and reporting any issues.

· Scheduling and managing planned maintenance of fleet through agreed providers.

· Assist in route planning using E-proof of delivery software

· Delivery input into external 3PL providers such as TNT and Fedex.

· Brief all drivers on policies and procedures.

· Co-Ordinate all delivery orders through our software system.

· Debrief all delivery drivers, collate all manifests and upload into Software.

· Ensure effective communication throughout the Company.

· Identify opportunities to further improve efficiency and effectiveness.

· Contribute to the resolution of client queries and delivery disputes.

· To promote Company Standards in all situations.

· To deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is needed, and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above.

· To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the company.

· Polite customer service telephone manners.

The role has the following Principal Relationships:

· Accountable to- Transport & Distribution Manager

· Responsible for all admin duties in goods out, Stock assistance and delivery fleet.

· External- Maintains external contacts as necessary to fulfil 100% service levels.

The following are the Essential and Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

Essential

· Management experience of people, time and money

· Previous experience working with telematics and tracking software

· Desired knowledge and experience of all transport and driver regulations

· Experience of working with third party driving agencies, ideally combined with some knowledge of agency workers.

· Excellent communication skills

· Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload to meet conflicting, frequently demanding, deadlines

· Proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate MS PowerPoint, and Excel skills for data analysis and presentation in order to influence business cases e.g. pivot tables, graphs etc.

· Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements

Desirable:

  • IOSH or NEBOSH
