Role Overview & Responsibilities

Fixed Term Contract: 23rd May 2023 - 13th August 2023

Rate of Pay: £10.90/hour + holiday pay.

Full time and part time contracts available.

We are looking for enthusiastic bar staff to work at our new event site 'Underbelly at Depot Mayfield' this summer.

Bar experience is not essential however we would prefer it. As well as this, you are part of the larger Underbelly team and therefore should be friendly, confident, fun, good with people and be willing to scramble to action at a moments’ notice and throw yourself into a variety of tasks.

Role

• Set up, stock and strike event spaces and bars.
• Assist in preparing and serving drinks for the event, maintaining consistency and quality even when under pressure.
• Demonstrate a good knowledge of products and understand key perfect serves.
• Maintain an organised and clean bar, stock room and back of house area.
• Prepare and store correctly the garnishes used for the drinks.
• Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with other bar staff and management.

• Confident, enthusiastic, professional and self-motivated.
• Good, clear verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to recognise potential health and safety issues before they arise.
• Demonstrable knowledge of customer service principles.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent timekeeping skills.
• Positive and flexible approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a team whilst also being able to work independently.

• Manchester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
