Role Overview & Responsibilities

The rate of pay offered for this role is £9.50/hour for over 21s and NMW for under 21s
Applications are invited for a Café Assistant at our tea room in Durham City Centre.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a flair and passion for customer service and an ability to be calm under pressure to ensure they always provide high standards within our fully licensed Café. There is a requirement to assist with the preparation and serving of meals and so an awareness of safe food handling is essential however a level 2 certificate is desirable. You will be responsible for serving customers, up selling, food preparation and the cleaning of the department. Kitchen experience at any level is preferred however full training will be given. Barista experience is also desirable but not essential as training will be given.
