Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Lab Manager for our busy Charley Wood Road site in Liverpool.

In this role you will perform analysis of samples for pre-acceptance, trade effluent discharge, solvent routing, external treatment, flow meter and regulatory requirements.

You will maintain lab equipment, supplies and service agreements and support the Technical Manager and the wider Tradebe group to deliver projects and our labs network.

The Role

• Analysis of samples of waste materials and maintaining accurate record
• To ensure that samples approved for trade effluent discharge meet the trade effluent discharge limits
• To perform scale treatment tests to identify correct treatment methods
• Ensure compliance with BMS procedures
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies
• Manage throughput of sample analysis to agreed timescales
• Support site operations as needed to site compliance

The Person

• Laboratory experience as a manager or supervisor
• Experience of analytical chemistry
• Experience of using ICP, GCMS, XRF machines
• Chemistry qualification
• Experience in the waste industry is desirable
• Desire to develop and be involved in project work

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
