Part 1 Architectural Assistant – Remote Working (Freelance)

Role Overview & Responsibilities

TR Architectural services is looking for a Part 1 architectural assistant to join its small but growing team on a freelance basis in Manchester.

We are interested in speaking with both Part 1 & Part 2 Architectural Assistants, providing you have at least 1 years’ worth of experience.

This is a great opportunity for someone to work within the residential industry on a variety of interesting projects. As we are a growing company the initial role will be for a freelance architectural assistant which will then progress into a hybrid permanent role.

Requirements for this role:

• Part 1 or 2 relevant qualification.
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in UK based architectural practice.
• Good knowledge of planning policies and building regulations.
• Experience of conducting measured building surveys.
• UK driving license with access to own transport.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key duties:

• Working on small to medium sized residential projects.
• Carrying out site visits and producing reports.
• Carrying out measured surveys
• Consultations with clients.
• Liaising with planning consultants and building inspectors.
• Liaising with suppliers and contractors
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/SketchupPro/Photoshop/In-Design
• Must be able to work using own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Present drawings and material in a professional manner where appropriate.
• Carrying out technical and product research.
• Preparing packages for Planning Applications and Building Regulation systems
• Producing feasibilities in 2D & 3D.

Salary:

• From £22,000 +

Working hours:

• Monday – Friday / 9am to 4pm
