Yard Person - Delivery Driver

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Townson Tractors Ltd is a well established family run company selling new and used agricultural equipment for over 50 years. Due to recent growth and exciting plans for the future we now require an additional member to join our team. We are a main franchise dealer for market leading manufacturers such as New Holland, JCB and Pottinger.

As Yards Person you will be responsible for the day to day management of the yard.

The main duties of this role will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring deliveries and collections are dealt with in a safe and timely manner
• Keeping the yard and machinery, clean and tidy and well presented
• Managing the yard stock including monthly stock takes
• PDI and new machine assembly
• Assist with demonstrations on site or customer location
• Refurbishment of used machinery to ensure safe and serviceable
• Valeting new and used vehicles
• Assist with set up of shows and events
• Deliver machinery & parts when required

About you:

• Basic mechanical skill and knowledge
• Excellent time keeping and organisation skills
• Ability to confidently operate and demonstrate modern tractors and machinery
• Current Forklift licence, however training can be provided
• Full UK driving licence with B+E (trailer licence), and C+E (HGV class1) or C (HGV class2) Preferred but not essential

Our working hours are 7am - 5pm Monday to Friday with some Saturday work when required.
