Rent Income Collection Team Principal

The Role:

The Housing Options Service is looking to recruit a Rent Income Collection Team Principal who would be responsible for coordinating and supervising the Rent Income Collection Officer Team.

Requirements:

Having the right calibre of people with the right attitude is essential in providing households in temporary accommodation with the services they require.

  • Sound knowledge of the Housing Benefits system and good knowledge of wider welfare benefits available
  • Experience of income collection and arrears management
  • Experience of supervising staff undertaking housing management duties
  • Experience of working in a demanding environment with the general public
  • Experience working in a similar role would be an advantage
  • Enthusiasm and strong motivation with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Ability to immediately deliver, working to tight timescales
  • Ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and to develop appropriate promotional material.
  • Advanced IT skills in relation to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Visio or other project tools.
