Role Overview & Responsibilities

Wage: £38,532 per year (£19ph)

Location: Pyle

Duration: Temp to Permanent

Hours: Full time 39 hrs Monday – Friday. Occasional overtime

Our client is a leading precision engineering company who urgently seek an experienced Machinist to operate and program CNC millers and lathes in their busy engineering workshop on the outskirts of Bridgend

This vacancy provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a well-established and growing company that produces quality specialist machined fabrications from "one-offs" to batch production You would work mainly with metals, but you could also deal with composite materials and plastics. Most of the parts you make would be for use on internal manufacturing and assembly.

Successful candidate must also have experience of manual machining practices and aspects of production workshop engineering component manufacture. Work comprises mainly of manual milling but also some centre lathe turning.

Your typical duties would include:

• CNC Milling
• CNC Turning
• Setting & Operating
• Hands on programming
• General housekeeping
• Checking that work meets quality and technical standards
• Routine maintenance.

Would suit: Hands on experienced machinist with personal improving goals.

Required experience:

· Preferably be time-served

• CNC Machinist: 3 years relevant experience.

· Siemens Shopmill / Shopturn experience is desirable

· Able to programme
