Location: Torbay

We are recruiting a Principal Transport Strategy and Project Officer and two Transport Strategy and Project Officers as well as other roles to our growing climate, transport, and planning team. Join the Torbay story and help deliver carbon neutrality and improved accessibility in Torbay.

As a Transport Strategy and Project Officer, you will work as part of our Strategy and Project Management Team, and also across the Council, to update the Local Transport Plan, Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan, Electric Vehicle Strategy as well as supporting with the Bus Service Improvement Plan, Local Plan and Climate Emergency plans – ensuring alignment with national and local policy and objectives. Critically, you will manage the delivery the projects identified in those plans and accompanying action plans, including electric vehicle charging infrastructure, active travel and public transport schemes.

You will identify opportunities to bring in additional funding from grants, developing evidence bases and business cases to support those and monitoring and evaluation of projects that are implemented to ensure progress on the Project and Council’s key objectives.
