Logistics Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Logistics Operative to join our Supply Chain team at our manufacturing facility in Foston, Derby on a full time, permanent basis.

As a Logistics Operative, you will form an integral part of our supply chain function, ensuring that all in and outbound logistical, inventory control processes and procedures are executed effectively and efficiently.

The Role:

• Operating material handling equipment to load, unload goods.
• Picking/kitting of products for delivery to the production line.
• Supporting deployment activities
• Product put away.
• Support Kanban process.
• Problem solving
• Stock counting and location checks.
• Performing warehouse inventory controls via scanner and or through a computer

Working hours:

• Weekly rotating shifts:
• 06:00am – 2:00pm / 2:30pm – 11:00pm (Monday to Thursday)
• 06:00am – 2:00pm / 2:30pm – 8:00pm (Friday)

About you:

• Proven experience in the same function within a logistics or customer fulfilment environment
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• Good time management skills
• Hard working and conscientious with the ability to motivate.
• The ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Practical skills
• The ability to put things in order.
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Understanding of material management
• Positive attitude, working collaboratively so everyone succeeds.
• Advantageous but not required FLT licence, Lieber driver trained.
