Here at the Rodney we're looking for a talented, enthusiastic and flexible KITCHEN ASSISTANT / COOK. Our recently launched menu means that we're busier than ever, but we still have time to offer you training and mentorship.

What are the main duties of a kitchen asssitant / cook?

Depending on your experience you can expect to be involved in:

• Helping the head chef prepare dishes
• Be responsible for a section such as starters or desserts
• At less bust times (such as breakfast) being the only cook in the kitchen
• Assisting with health and safety and food hygiene practices

You will need some experience in the kitchen but enthusiasm and flexibility is more important to us than experience. You'll also need:

• Ability to work without close supervision
• Good oral communication
• High level of attention to detail
• Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge
• Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
• Positive and approachable manner
• Team player qualities

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.50-£13.00 per hour
