Visitor Experience Team Members at The Mary Rose Museum

Vacancies for Part Time and Weekend Only

Contract: Part Time/Weekend

Salary: £9.50ph (£10.90 from 1st April)

We are excited to offer an opportunity for new Visitor Experience Team Members to join our world class Mary Rose Museum situated in the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. We are looking for passionate individuals to welcome our guests with high levels of customer service and interaction to bring to life the 500-year-old iconic Mary Rose ship and over 19,000 artifacts.

As part of your role, you will be responsible for

• Welcoming guests into the Museum – Checking and Upselling tickets
• Promote and Upsell Tours and Guidebooks
• Marshall our ‘decks’ interacting and supporting the customers journey through the Museum
• Support interactive events hosted through the year
• Maintain a high cleanliness level across the Museum
• Occasional support of corporate evening events
• Work within the retail shop

As a confident communicator you will be comfortable engaging with visitors to consistently exceed their expectations whilst ensuring that commercial targets are achieved.

Our Visitor Experience Team Members also have an opportunity to work within the Portsmouth
Historic Dockyard Visitor Centre where you will spend time greeting visitors at the start of their visit creating a great first impression. Whilst working on the tills offering information and selling tickets promoting the Mary Rose and NMRN attractions available.

We have vacancies for part time and or weekend only staff members.

Interviews will take place between 8th and 14th March. Contracts will begin on 28th March with a two-day induction training session. Please Note: This role is subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of Naval Base Security Clearance.
