Role Overview & Responsibilities

The Elms Practice is on Hayling Island in Hampshire, serving a list of 9200 patients. We have a team with 3 full time GPs, 6 nurses, 4 Registrars as well as other allied colleagues such as first contact physiotherapists, social prescribers, MIND advisors and pharmacy colleagues within our PCN.

We are a training practice hosting junior doctors and medical students and we pride ourselves on nurturing and supporting their professional development and look forward to welcoming a new member into our growing team.

We have an excellent workforce in place to which we wish to add a paramedic practitioner to support our same-day access as well as holding clinics to assist the GPs in practice. Appointments will be a mix of phone calls, online triage and face to face as well as care navigating to other services and supporting and empowering the reception team to do this too. You will also be encouraged to work with our frailty nurse on home visits when required.
