Role Overview & Responsibilities

The Cavalry & Guards Club is a Private Members Club that represents history, tradition, timeless elegance and quiet efficiency plus that all-important personal touch. This gracious building, which is more a home than an institution, is situated at the Hyde Park Corner end of Piccadilly, in the heart of Mayfair, with wonderful views of Green Park.

Responsibilities

• Delivering an effective wine and beverage service in the restaurant
• Full knowledge of the wine list in order to assist guest with their choices, being able to make appropriate recommendations where necessary
• To be aware of how each dish is prepared and the ingredients used, developing your knowledge as the menu changes.
• Provide charismatic, warm and engaging service with the aim to deliver a memorable experience for all our guests
• Guide and support junior members of the team during service to ensure necessary standards are being met and exceeded
• Ensure guests in your section always have necessary wine, water or other beverages throughout their experience
• Have a love for wines & spirits and passion for developing your knowledge further
• Have equal passion for food and hospitality
• WSET 3 or equivalent an advantage
• To be on duty on time and always be presented in a clean and smart manner, ensuring uniform is smartly dressed and shoes are polished.
• To attend and participate in any training and personal development schemes as recommended by your manager.
• To comply with all the company’s Health and Safety requirements.
• To show initiative and demonstrate a strong interest in the latest trends of the industry

Salary: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
