I am currently partnered with an established and high-growth Cloud Service Provider who are looking to hire 2 talented Junior Datacentre Engineers to join their team in Coventry.
This is an incredible opportunity to hone your craft in a supportive environment, where no two days are the same.
As a Junior Datacentre Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Managing Linux environments
- Implementing cloud solutions to customers
- Configuration of Juniper and Cisco Switches
- Dealing with backups using Veeam, R1 Soft, etc.
Skills and experience required for a Junior Datacentre Engineer:
- Great knowledge of Windows OS basic experience with Linux
- Working on shifts
- Customer service exposure
- Good experience with computer hardware
- Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking
- Very good English skills
- Exposure to LAMP stack
- Experience using Linux at least at command line level
- Knowledge of DNS Systems
- Experience with hosting control panels (cPanel/Plesk)
- Experience with VMWare,Xen or OnAPP
