Night Shift Quality Control

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Welcome to Taylor Whitmore.

We have the pleasure of working with a busy manufacturing company who pride themselves on lean manufacturing and continuous improvement who are looking to recruit a Night Shift Quality Control Inspector on a permanent basis.

You will be involved in the following duties and responsibilities:

* Oversee the work being done on the machines

* Advise the setter if something goes wrong

* Ensure operators are aware of specific issues with individual jobs

* Check product before and after Operator work

* Check labels on the boxes (if they are correct for current production, make more if needed)

* Check material code on regrind boxes

* Check quantity in boxes then close boxes. Seal and stamp completed boxes

* Check if boxes are not glued properly

* Check reject rate, (patrol if high, record every few hours if high)

* Inform supervisor / Setters about faults or high reject rate

* Compare production sample with inspection sample

* Remove full pallets from shop floor to the Warehouse area and bring new ones

* If faults are found put boxes in quarantine

* Check if operator recording rejects on visual SPC chart •

* Make quality inspection report about current products and quality problems we had during the shift

* Assist colleagues within other areas of the business as the business needs require

* To operate within and adhere to the company’s Health & Safety Policy in all aspects of the role • Ensure PPE is worn at the start of the shift and throughout the shift

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00-£26,400.00 per year
