Shop Supervisor

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Supervisor duties will include overseeing the merchandising of the products in the store by creating attractive displays and monitoring general maintenance of the store. It will also include overseeing salespeople, cashiers, shelf stockers and other employees, alongside, monitoring the back store inventory and ordering, receiving and processing merchandise for sale. They will also be responsible for providing supervision and leadership for the store by scheduling and monitoring work assignments, providing training, completing performance evaluations and providing recommendations for the hiring of staff. Furthermore, they will have to manage finances and prepare an annual budget whilst also implementing measures to avoid stock damages, theft and wastage.

The role will involve managing the paperwork for 2 stores.

The supervisor should also investigate market trends and offering products that would appeal to customers and address customers’ requests, complaints and comments. On top of this, they should also oversee salespeople, cashiers, shelf stockers and other employees. Duties also include compiling daily and weekly cleaning schedules and ensuring they are carried out by regular daily checks covering all areas. Safe use equipment should also be used and monitored by the supervisor, and they should also ensure that all statutory regulations regarding safety, fire and hygiene and complied with along with any specific codes of practice.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
