Data Analyst - Power BI

Role Overview & Responsibilities

You’ll be a Power BI Analyst with experience of SQL scripting and knowledge of DAX syntax. You’ll be competent at extracting and modelling data to create reports and dashboards that will provide insightful information presented in the most appropriate way. You’ll also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to relay insights to senior stakeholders to assist with the development of strategies.

What you’ll be doing

As a Data Analyst, you will contribute first hand to the development, creation, and implementation of financial reports and planning processes integral to achieving the company’s strategy. You’ll turn detailed financial data into industry leading insights.

• Create and compile information into spreadsheets, documents, and Power BI reports
• Develop performance indicators and metrics
• Communicate to senior stakeholders the company's performance vs strategy
• Work closely with executive management to discuss and determine financial benchmarks, strategy, and attainment of organisational goals

Skills

• Power BI proficient – Data modelling, DAX and Visualisation
• Experience in writing SQL queries
• Knowledge of Data Warehouses
• Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
• Build reports and processes with simple refresh methods
• Create well formatted documents which utilise the correct type of visualisation for the data
• Strong communication, presentation skills and understanding of the business requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a numerical field (or equivalent)

Please note this is a hybrid role and you will need to be on site in Solihull 3 days per week.
