Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a positive, hardworking team player to join our small team in Broughty Ferry. Sweetpea is a small independent cafe that has a passion to provide our customers with blooming delicious food and drinks in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The candidate must be able to work well under pressure as this is a very fast paced and busy job. You must be a team player that is committed to providing a high standard of work. We are looking for someone that has good communication skills and can not only pass on information to your other team members but also to customers when needed.

The role:

• Great customers
• Take customer orders.
• Using the till system.
• Preparing food and drinks.
• Serving food and drinks.
• Coffee making.
• Prepping food for the next day.
• Answering phones and taking bookings.
• Cash handeling.
• Clear and sanitize any dirty tables.
• Carry out cleaning tasks including cleaning equipment, surfaces and food preparation areas.
• Help the team with food prep.
• Carry out additional duties instructed by the team.
• Weekend working.
• Weekday working.

The right candidate must be available to work both days at the weekend. This position is for between 18 - 21 hours a week.

Candidate must be available a Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (or at least 3 out of 5 days).

Shifts will change weekly to allow everyone to have a chance of a weekend off.
