Role Overview & Responsibilities

Sureway Transport are an Avonmouth based specialist in the distribution of palletised freight throughout the UK, with a daily throughput of approximately 600 pallets. As a leading Pallet force member and benefiting from being part of the Scandinavian based NTEX group; we are looking to recruit 2 experienced counterbalance forklift operatives due to continued expansion.

The successful applicants must possess previous warehouse experience of a pallet network operation or an import/export groupage trailer operation, with a proven track record to work well within a fast paced and constant changing environment.

The hours will be based across a rotating morning and afternoon shift with weekend work included.

Duties Include:

· Loading / unloading a modern fleet of international groupage trailers servicing Scandinavia and Europe

· Loading / unloading a domestic fleet of vehicles and busy Pallet Network service

· Picking customer products for daily despatch

· Follow on site Safe Working Practises and Health & Safety procedures

· Ensuring the warehouse and surrounding areas are kept tidy by supporting positive onsite general housekeeping

The Ideal Candidate:

· Must hold a valid recognised counterbalance certificate

· Tug/Yard Shunter certificate preferable but not essential as training will be provided to the right candidates

· Possess a positive can-do attitude towards work

Salary: £28,479.00-£29,679.00 per year
