Role Overview & Responsibilities

STAFF WANTED.

We are looking for a confident and friendly part time cafe assistant to join our small team at this busy cafe.

The successful candidate will already be confident working either front of house, experienced with a coffee machine, cash handling, table service, restocking, cleaning etc
Or, you will be more at home in the kitchen preparing breakfasts, sandwiches, salads and can help us develop the food side of the business.
Perhaps you are a keen baker and looking for somewhere to showcase your skills.
Wherever you feel more comfortable - in the kitchen or front of house, you will be expected to learn the other to become a real all rounder.

The cafe can be extremely busy from time to time throughout the day so you must be happy working in a busy environment, whether thats taking orders at the till and making coffees or making food in the kitchen. You must be able to work under your own initiative and prioritise jobs when under pressure

Opening hours of the cafe are 8-3 Monday to Friday and 8-2 on Saturdays.
We will also be opening on Sundays once the hiring process is complete so you must be available 5 days out of 7 including weekends although we do our best to rotate weekend work.
We also intend to open later on a Friday in the not too distant future as a licensed premises.
We are looking to build an outside catering side of the business aswell so over time there should be plenty of opportunity for more hours.

There may be a requirement to open the cafe a couple days a week, depending on school runs.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

Salary: From £10.00 per hour
