Junior Web Designer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented and creative Junior Web Designer to join our team in Bournemouth. As a Junior Web Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting web design projects and contribute to the overall look and feel of our digital presence.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior web designers and developers to create visually appealing websites that meet client requirements and align with the company's brand guidelines.
• Assist in implementing SEO strategies to increase organic search visibility and improve website performance.
• Create graphics, icons, and other visual elements to enhance the aesthetics of websites.
• Build websites using CMS systems such as WordPress.
• Help with front-end development tasks, such as coding HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and content to ensure consistency in design and messaging.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Assist with website maintenance and updates, including content updates, bug fixes, and performance optimisations.

Ideal applicant will have:

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience or understanding of SEO and managing marketing campaigns.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior designers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job details:

• Mix of office-based and WFH
• 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
• Early finish on Fridays

Salary: £15,714.74-£22,000.00 per year
