Role Overview & Responsibilities

Summary

The St.JOHN family is growing and we are looking for a Packing Supervisor to join our bakery team, based at Bermondsey baking a range of product, and packing them for delivery to Clients across London.

Our attention to detail and high standards are key to our success and we are looking for a Packing Supervisor.

Full Time contract, based on 40 hours per week, we are offering a hugely competitive starting salary on £12.50 per hour.
Shifts are 16:00 to 00:00, 5 days out of 7 each week.

The role involves:

• Ensuring the right stock is available to enable orders to be fulfilled and dispatched on time.
• Ensuring the Packing team have their daily jobs organised when necessary.
• Ensuring the quality of stock is maintained, stock rotation occurs and any stock that does not meet the necessary standards is reported and dealt with.
• Completing daily checklists.
• To ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.
• Making sure packaging is put away correctly/checked in and documentation taken to the office.
• Help any area in the business when and as required.
• Working with the rest of the supervisory team, and management teams to suggest and implement ideas for improvement.

Role related knowledge, skills, behaviours, qualifications, and experience required:

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Good organisational skills.
• Proven experience in leading and supervising a small team.
• A positive attitude when dealing with challenge & change.
• The ability to be forward thinking and able to plan.
