Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are currently looking for highly motivated engineering students with a MS, at a fast paced, internationally growing organization with a start-up culture. In this role, you will participate in a wide range of real-world consulting projects including the design, analysis, and optimization of turbomachinery components. This position starts as a paid training internship is for a 6-month period, full-time (40 hours per week). Trainee may be offered a permanent position based on performance evaluations made upon completion of the internship period.

Responsibilities:

  • Support global team on all steps of the rotor-bearing systems design and dynamics analysis activities
  • Participate in projects which include rotordynamics analyses and simulations for different types of bearings, such as oil film, gas foil, hydrodynamic/hydrostatic, journal/thrust, rolling element
  • Develop test cases and perform validation on rotordynamics studies using in-house software AxSTREAM Rotordynamics™ and AxSTREAM Bearing™ for design, analysis and optimization for variety of machines: turbines, compressors, pumps, turbopumps, electric machines, etc.
  • Write technical publications based on internal results and improve existing documents
  • Participate at conferences and trade shows and animate technical webinars
  • Develop and deliver software demonstrations to prospect and current clients

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related science
  • Recent graduates with GPA> 3.3 or higher
  • Strong theoretical background in dynamics of rotating machines, bearings characteristics simulation, rotor-bearing systems design and vibration analysis
  • Specific knowledge of methods and technologies related to rotordynamics analyses
  • Ability to pay attention to details and strong organization skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related science
  • Competence in industrial standards for rotordynamics such as API Standards, knowledge of standard procedures and acceptance criteria
