Role Overview & Responsibilities

This is a temporary position initially on a three month contract with the possibility of extension.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

·To carry out and assist in Fabrication tasks relating the manufacture of machine safety guarding systems.

·Adhere to all company and departmental processes and procedures. H&S , BRC an 6s.

·Ensuring all work is entered into the maintenance management system. (Pirana)

·Work as part of a team with Engineering to improve machine line safety.

·Be willing to work overtime and other shift patterns as per business needs. (minimum of two weekends per month overtime required)

Experience and Education:

· Time served Fabricator with relevant proof of qualifications.

· Minimum of 8 years post qualification work experience.

· Mig and Stick welding. Tig welding would be an advantage.

· Experience in metal forming and fabrication.

· Previous experience in safety guard manufacturing.

· Ability to work consistently to high standards and prioritise tasks according to workload.

· Sound decision making skills.

· The ability to work as part of a team or as an individual. With little to no supervision.

Salary: £12.99 per hour
