Business/Location: Preston Role Title: Warehouse Operative

Role Holder: Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Role Purpose Statement:

To ensure that all goods are booked in efficiently, stored, picked and packed correctly so our clients experience an outstanding customer service

Organisation Structure:

Main Accountabilities:

• Receipt of goods into the warehouse.
• Unloading and loading trucks.
• Ensuring that all incoming loads are thoroughly inspected prior to booking in.
• Picking and packing orders ready for despatch.
• Ensuring the stock is kept clean & tidy.
• Maintaining accurate live stock levels
• Helping to plan the van delivery schedule.
• Ensure that the maintenance / safety checks are completed on the forklift trucks.
• Maintaining a Safe working environment in the warehouse department and report on near misses and accidents.

Knowledge & Experience

• Working within a warehouse environment and a passion to learn
• Counter balance and reach truck forklift driving experience
• Drivers licence
• Order picking and packing experience
• Manual handling knowledge and experience
• Competent in Microsoft office and experience with IT systems

Working Hours

• 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Starting £23,200 per year
