Homes for Ukraine Project Officer - Birmingham

Salary: £28,351 per annum

Position: Fixed term up to the completion date (Project completes on 31st October 2023)

Location: Darlington, Birmingham or London and a hybrid working pattern is expected.

Job Purpose:

SJOG and Caritas Social Action Network are running a 12 month project supporting individuals and families displaced by the Ukraine war access the Homes for Ukraine scheme. This matching project sees a UK sponsor host an individual or family from Ukraine for a 6 month period.

We are looking to recruit two passionate and conscientious project officers to take on key operational tasks that contribute to the delivery of the project.

Typical tasks associated to the role are:

• To manage CRM data base information accurately and use this to create matching for Homes for Ukraine.
• To liaise and work with voluntary sector oganisations and Catholic Parish communities to support the settlement of individuals and families from Ukraine.
• Take phone call and email enquiries about the project and give accurate and timely advice.
• Update documentation related to the project and contribute to report writing
• To work with local authorities where needed.
• To liaise and work with SJOG colleagues in Poland and oversees to support Ukrainian individuals and families who wish to come to the UK through Homes for Ukraine.
• Arrange transport/activities that support project delivery
• To complete any other tasks aligned and commensurate with the role and responsibilities.
