The Single Variety Co are currently recruiting for a Food Production Operative for our fast growing, award winning jam business based in Warmley, Bristol.

As a food production operative, you will be joining a small but growing team of production staff that will be producing high quality products to the food industry.

We believe in a work life balance and will be operating a 4 day week.

Shifts:

Monday to Thursday.

We are looking for a candidate that can work between 30 -40 hours per week. Final shift times will depend on finding the right candidate to work around our current team but a start time of 8am will be required.

Some weekend work may be required during our busy periods. (You will be given plenty of notice for these periods)

Main Responsibilities:

• Washing and preparing the ingredients.
• Operate production line equipment.
• Assemble goods on a production line (Lidding jam jars!)
• Report equipment faults to maintenance staff.
• Monitor production and carry out basic testing and quality checks.
• Store goods and raw materials in the factory.
• Pack and label goods ready for shipment.
• Clean and maintain your work area in line with the Company standards and Health and Safety policy.

• Willing to get your hands dirty
• To be flexible and open to change.
• Must be comfortable with heavy lifting (20-30kg) - Jam is heavy!
• Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 preferred although not essential as full training will be provided.
• Experience in a SALSA approved production kitchen would be highly advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30-40 per week

Salary: £10.90 per hour
